its hard to believe that ALL this has happened since.
and married John!!!....what a year....
and so many more to go.
and married John!!!
Wow. We were but mere children a year ago
Ha.Spades take up leaves
No better than spoons,
And bags full of leaves
Are light as balloons.
I make a great noise
Of rustling all day
Like rabbit and deer
Running away.
But the mountains I raise
Elude my embrace,
Flowing over my arms
And into my face.
I may load and unload
Again and again
Till I fill the whole shed,
And what have I then?
Next to nothing for weight,
And since they grew duller
From contact with earth,
Next to nothing for color.
Next to nothing for use.
But a crop is a crop,
And who's to say where
The harvest shall stop?
...saw a childhood friend, Holly
It's been a while since I've seen "All Dogs Go to Heaven." In fact, probably about fifteen years, but somehow I still remembered the song that the little girl sang during the movie. Weird, how childhood memories like that never seem to go away.

I love when the seasons change. Granted, I live in Phoenix so the changes are hardly visible, but where they do change is where my heart longs to be. I like the way the leaves fall and the snow packs and slushes. The way the trees bloom and everything feels lighter. I love the summer nights when you can feel the heat from the cement and the way fireflies dance around you. I like these changes and that is probably all I like of change.
