We were chatting with friends yesterday about hypno-birthing. We used that technique during labor with Jack and it was really helpful. When asked how it went, John said,
"Well, in hypno birthing the bulk of the responsibility is on the husband." To which I did a slow-motion-eye's-bulging-head-twist to see if he was for real.
"The bulk of the responsibility, huh?" He caught on quickly.
"Yeah, I'd say 50/50." We all laughed. Long and hard.
last night john couldn't sleep well. He was tossing and turning most of the night.
"Maybe Jesus wanted you to pray, babe." I said this morning.
"Oh, I thought that too." He responded with a smirk. "But all I heard was, 'Go and buy 30 pounds of chicken.' so, I don't think that was God's voice. I think I was exhausted."
an older friend of mine said this when i told her john and i got donuts on his day off. when i told her we didn't give jack any, this is what she said.
"Give it time and he'll want what you have too. Just remember:
" A moment on the lips is a lifetime on the hips." Someone told me that along time ago. It's funny, but oh so true!! You don't have anthing to worry about, because I doubt you... gain that much at all. It's more fun when you're pregnant to eat what you don't usually eat, because you have a great excuse to do it. Anyway, donuts are so great to eat when you're in the mood for something sweet to eat.
me: i had a dream about zac hanson last night. i was hanging out at their house, which also happened to be my aunt connie's house, and taylor kept giving me dirty looks and trying to get rid of me.
john: wow. you must have really, really, really, really, really been obsessed with them to still dream about them after 13 years.
me: not true. i just really remember my dreams. and yes, i was a little obsessed.
